Charles Kretek

Charles began working with NMLGL in May of 2025.

Mr. Kretek’s work for the firm will continue to involve representation of governmental clients for their general counsel legal needs. Mr. Kretek has been in private practice since his admission to practice law in New Mexico in 1992. He has been in private practice with Kretek Law Office and public practice representing public entities in New Mexico. Mr. Kretek has been in-house counsel to Luna County since 2017 and private contract counsel for the County from 1992 through 2011. Charles also has substantial experience working as counsel for Columbus Electric Cooperative and as a Hearing Officer and Special Master for the Sixth Judicial District Court.
