Lea “Cori” Strife graduated from University of New Mexico School of Law and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon, Cum Laude. Immediately after graduating from law school in May 2020, she became in associate of NM Local Government Law, LLC. Ms. Strife is an excellent writer and researcher and has provided unlimited support to the attorneys in our firm in all areas of practice. Cori Strife’s work at NMLGL includes assisting in drafting and revising Ordinances, Personnel Policies, Writs of Certiorari, Notices of Appeal and Appellant’s Statement of Issues, as motion briefing. She has also actively represented county assessors in New Mexico on property tax valuation protests before the County Valuation Protests Board and assisted in negotiating settlement of claims. Ms. Strife is our firm expert on the local regulation of Cannabis after recreational marijuana was legalized. Ms. Strife continues to expand her experience at NMLGL and provides county and municipal representation and advice at local city council and county commission meetings.
